Amorphous alloy is a 0.02mm-0.04mm thin strip made of liquid melt like iron. cobal and silicon jetted to a pan rotating at extremely high speed,and cooled immediately and rapidly by a state-of the art ultra-quick cooling technology. Therefore. it features excellent soft magnetic properties,corrosion resistance, abrasion resistance, high resistivity, ete.

Transformers made of amorphous alloy have the following advantages over that of cold-rolled grain-oriented silicon steel sheet:
1.As a new material, amorphous alloy is not such of crystal structure, but an isotropic soft magnetic material,so that it boats small power.
2. It has no structure defects that hinder domain wall displacement, and therefore, the magnetic hysteresis loss of it is less than silicon steel sheets.
3. The resistivity is very high, about 3~6 times as much as that of silicon steel sheets.As a result, the eddy current loss is
greatly reduced to an extent that the eddy current loss per unit is only 20%~30% of that of silicon steel sheets.In conclusion,amorphous alloy core transformers boast a very low no-load loss, only 25% of that of an S9 silicon steel transformer.
