Step 1: wiring diagram correctly.
Step 2: Set time through knob . 1 X minutes equal to 10 minutes, from 1min to 60min; 1 X hours equal to 10 hours, from 1 hour to 60 hours.
Step 3: Push the switch from off to on . Then load will be turned on , when time run out , load will be turned off automatically.
And the knob still do not move .

Warm Reminder:Regular timer switch only can connect to 10Amp and should connect the AC contactor when you use it.
Our timer switch can connect the load which below 63Amp and do not need the AC contactor.
